|
With the emphasis on industrialization, more difficult and complex environmental problems might have occurred. The effects of air pollution on health have been badly neglected for a long period of time in Korea. This paper reviews foreign research progress being made in the air pollution, fields by different investigators. The scope of this review study is to understand whether the effects of air pollution link with human health in terms of mortality. These results suggest that there are reliable statistical association between a particular pollutant or combination of pollutants and mortality. Important areas requiring further research and development work in air pollution control are discussed.
